The Out of the Closet Gayla is a combined runway fashion show and drag show with a catered dinner and silent auctions. It's sole purpose, since beginning in 2004, was to create an environment of fun and fellowship where we could all come together as one, erasing the lines we draw between one another in the GLBT community...and, in the process, raise money for New Creation Metropolitan Community Church (the first and oldest GLBT-affirming church in Columbus).
Since it's inception the Gayla has raised thousands of dollars for New Creation MCC, has spread the word about many local gay-friendly businesses, and has showcased some of the most talented drag performers in Columbus (and beyond). We are proud of the Out of the Closet Gayla and hope it continues for many years to come.
